Come and offer your voice to proclaim the living Word of God! Lectors proclaim God's Word to the faithful during Mass. Training is provided. Anyone wishing to be a lector is given a workbook with all readings for a given year. This book provides spiritual preparation and indicates areas of emphasis for each reading. During our Sunday and Holy Day liturgies Lectors proclaim the First and Second readings. In the absence of a Deacon, Lectors may also proclaim the Universal Prayer (Prayer of the Faithful).

Responsibilities for Lectors:
- Prayerfully read over the assigned Mass readings and practice proclamation prior to Mass.
- Proclaim the assigned readings during Mass.
