Altar Servers assist the Priest and Deacon in the celebration of the Mass so that the liturgy can be conducted with grace and reverence. This ministry helps to develop a sense of participation in parish life and offers an opportunity to understand the rewards of service.
Parishioners 10 years old (5th grade) and older, who have recieved First Holy Communion are eligible to serve. Please contact the Altar Server coordinator if you are interested. You will be trained and scheduled according to your availability. New servers are usually paired with experienced servers to help during their transition period.
"When you take part in the Liturgy by carrying out your altar service, you offer a witness to all...Discover every day anew that something important happens, that the living God is among us and that you can be close to Him so that His mystery is celebrated and reaches people." - Pope Benedict XVI
"You shall worship the Lord, Your God, and Him alone shall you serve" - Luke 4:8
