Donate time to solicit donations for Mentally Handicapped citizens of Queen Anne County.  Time donated is a 2-hour shifts

10 a.m. - Noon
Noon    - 2 p.m.
2 p.m.  - 4 p.m.

Youth volunteers will always work with an adult Knight of Columbus. Parents welcome to stay and help.

Help the nights of Columbus for 2 hours to serve this traditional “Mardi Gras” meal.  Set-up tables, serve pancakes, clear tables, clean-up.  A few cashiers are needed.

Arrange with DRE Mrs. Mann

Help direct Religious Education students to their classrooms.   Assist teachers in class.

Suggest things you can do to help elderly neighbors and ask how you can help

Ask if you can mow the grass, rake leaves, get their mail and/or newspaper for them, clean their gutters, and wash their car.  If they resist, let them know it helps you too!

Volunteer at Soup Kitchen

Make a meal, drop-off or serve. Call kitchen in advance for their procedures.

You can make a lunch or dinner and deliver it to the shelter.  You may help serve meals if you call in advance for details.

Contribute to Church’s Food pantry

Purchase dry goods and bring them to the rectory

Use your own money to purchase tuna fish, pasta, spaghetti sauce, crackers, etc to help feed the needy through our church’s food pantry

Contribute to the Maryland Food Bank

Visit the Elderly at nursing homes

Individual Activity or Classrooms can organize amongst themselves if so desired.

Call in advance to arrange a time

Call home to find out a good time to visit.  Ask what activities you can bring or what home suggests.

Bring an approved activity such as cards, bingo, etc and plan to spend about 1 hour.  It’s good to bring useful gifts such as Kleenex, hand lotion, chap stick, etc.  Ask if you can bring refreshments such as cookies.

Community Clean Up

Individual Activity or Classrooms can organize amongst themselves if so desired.

Anytime

Work by yourself or organize a group of people

Community beach, park or playground i.e.: Terrapin beach

Help your community by cleaning up community areas by picking up trash, mowing grass, raking leaves, cleaning play equipment, etc.  This may be coordinated through the QAC Parks & Recreation if desired.
