Altar Society is comprised of parishioners dedicated to the service of sacramental celebration. They serve as "Holy Housekeepers" for our parish. It is their job to keep the church properly cleaned, well stocked, and ready for sacramental celebration. They remove trash, tidy missalettes and dust and vacuum the church (alter, sacristy, children's chapel, pews) each Monday. They refill the candle, luminaries and Holy Water fonts. Volunteers needed Wednesday, Friday and Saturday also for light replenishing.
As part of the Altar Society, Jean Darcy changes our flowers each week and take care of seasonal decorations (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Ordinary Time). She also oversees the washing and replacing of alter linens and cleaning of vestments as required.
Members work together and pitch in when needed. The group meets for dinner the last Monday of each month to discuss their work and socialize.
Volunteer are needed and always welcome! Seasonal help is needed during Christmas and Easter to decorate. An annoucement will be posted in the bulletin. Your help is always appreciated!
Shepherd's Flock Prayer Group provide spiritual support to the parish.
